Benedictine College Graduates Urged to Fight Back Against Deceit

In a commencement speech that has since sparked controversy, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker delivered a fiery address to the graduating class of Benedictine College on May 8, 2023.
Butker, a two-time Super Bowl champion, began his speech by recalling his experiences at the Catholic institution. He then launched into a passionate diatribe against "diabolical lies" that he claimed were being told to men and women.
Specifically, Butker targeted Pride Month and President Biden's leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. He urged the graduates to reject these "lies" and to fight back against the forces that promote them.
Benedictine College has since removed the video of Butker's speech from its YouTube channel, citing concerns about the potential for division.
